Description

A Bit About Me

Andy Stevenson is a successful sports broadcaster and is regularly seen (and heard!) on BBC TV & Radio.
He has worked at numerous Olympics, Paralympics and Commonwealth Games, as well as being a commentator/reporter at the Wimbledon tennis championships and Open golf. He has also commentated on football, snooker and rugby league.

Andy also worked in TV production for 12 years and has booked/produced voiceovers with several high-profile stars, but he is now wanting to be on the other side of the mic! At University, a vocal coach said Andy sounded ‘ever so slightly, pleasantly rural’, which he thinks was meant as a compliment!

As Andy says on his social media profiles, he was born “without a full complement of limbs”. In 2018, he was named as one of the 100 most influential disabled people in the UK. In March 2020, he spoke on behalf of Channel 4 at the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva about disability representation in the media industry.

Andy lives near Windsor, England with his wife Julia. He is a keen golfer & quizzer.
